Eric and Jena were married at Oak Bower Recreation Area on Lake Degray. They chose the location because Jena grew up skiing and riding boats in that same area. She and her dad stood in line for two days and two nights over New Years Eve and Day to make sure they could snag their day! It looked like it was going to rain and be pretty chilly (it was March after all), but right before we got ready for pictures the sun came out and it warmed up 10 degrees and looked like summer! Later a bridesmaid even found a four leaf clover for Jena to remember her good fortune by!

Their entire wedding incorporated so many memories and family oriented decorations. Her mason jars came from her Meme and the Best Wishes board and frames for the chalk boards were made with wood and tin from Meme's over 100 year-old barn and crafted by the bride's father. The arch for the ceremony was made by the Groom's father. The signs leading up to the ceremony were made by the Bride's father out of bamboo and wood from their deer camp. The wood slices for the tables, stamps, and pen holders were made by Eric from the trees on the land where they are building their first house! The garter was passed down from Jena's mom to Jena. Almost everything came with a memory!

There are some couples who, on their wedding day, get nervous and stressed on their wedding day and focus more on making it through the day. And then there are some couples like Eric and Jena who nearly bust at the seams with joy! I loved shooting their wedding and I honestly don't know if I've ever seen two people more in love and completely focused on each other :)
