Sometimes the best things come from rain-out dates and location fails. We had thunderstorms on the date we'd originally set for Emily and Jay's engagement pictures, but the weather was absolutely perfect the second time around. Unfortunately all the rain seemed to kill the colors for this entire fall. We never really had that amazing peak color week. I had a field of yellow wildflowers picked out for them (drove by a few days before to make sure it was still pretty) and when we drove up the whole field was dead. Just brown. So! After some quick thinking and a little walking we found a couple spots that had some colors and the session ended up being one of my favorite engagement sessions! 
Emily brought her daughter, Bliss, for some family pictures and she had a great time playing in the leaves, rounding up enormous branches, and smiling super pretty for me :) All three of them are just beautiful! I was editing this session and my husband looked over and said "Wow, they looked like they just all walked out of a JCPenny catalog." He's not wrong!
