Amber and Cody are just the sweetest. They are the kind of people you invite to every cookout because you know you'll enjoy their company and you can just be yourself around them. I loved shooting their engagement session, Amber's bridals, and finally their wedding (Click the links to see the full galleries from each session). Cody sent me a little info about their relationship to kick off their wedding blog!

"We first met in the fall of 2013 when a mutual friend had introduced us. We are both from the same home town, but since we are a few years apart our paths hadn’t really ever crossed; which is strange because we have a ton of mutual friends and things like that.(this is the ironic part because Amber has always preached she would never marry an older man) HA! Things started off slow and gradually grew through the spring. After a family beach trip in 2014; we both knew it was meant to be. After having the talk with her dad while she was away working at a summer camp, the ring process came! We got engaged in September 2014, on a whim! I had the ring and had this big beautiful event planned out for the end of the month, but just couldn’t wait any longer!!!! 

Between family trips, late night road trips, razorback and cowboy football games, family gatherings and too many other fun times to name, our love grew and grew. After meeting with the barn staff and Tryston we both knew we had made two excellent choices!! We didn’t let a monsoon stop us on our wedding day and the Barn at Twin Oaks staff made sure our day was perfect, despite the weather."

He wasn't kidding about a monsoon. It was flash flooding during their ceremony and the thunder was so loud you could barely hear anything else when it was going off. The rain on the barn roof was peaceful, the candlelight and rose petals were romantic, and the Barn staff worked quickly to make everything look gorgeous. Here are a few of my favorites!

When I arrived at the Barn it was just sprinkling, so we made the most of it with the detail shots and the first look. The canopy of trees actually kept Amber and Cody out of the rain in that one spot on the bridge :)
