Fall Minis 2012

November 18, 2012  •  Leave a Comment

This year's fall sessions were great! Other than a few rescheduled sessions due to weather everything went smoothly. I had some wonderful clients return for family pictures and I had an opportunity to meet some new faces as well. Each session was fun and (mostly) relaxed and I think we got some great pictures of everyone.

The first round of photos I owe huge credits to The Barn at Twin Oaks Ranch for having a great venue where the kids could run around and enjoy themselves. The second round of images were taken out at Lake Point Conference Center.

Thanks to all who came out and I hope to see you next fall!

The Rogers Family: Kevin and Melissa are good friends of ours who are in our Monday night small group. * If anyone is looking for a nice (small) group of people to have dinner with and have open discussion about scripture please let me know! We love having new people join us :) * This was my third session with the Rogers family and by far the most energetic! I love seeing kids' personalities show up in pictures.

Jaden is a sweet little girl that we used to babysit when she lived in Russellville. Every now and then she comes to visit and we grab a few updated pictures of her. She should be pretty used to my camera by now because when she was a baby I probably took thousands of pictures... Now she is 4 years old and growing up way too fast!

This was my first time to photograph the Hall family and it was one of my favorite sessions! Minus one little sisterly mishap, the two girls were perfect for the camera and really gave me some dynamite smiles! Mattie is hilarious (ask her what her "chocolate face" is!) and Millie is one of the happiest babies I've ever had the pleasure of photographing. The whole family was super sweet!

The beautiful miss Allie Chism was also new to my camera! She was a little shy at first but she's got a precious smile and a pretty amazing "serious face"! She was willing to do whatever I asked her to, even climb in a tree! I can't wait to take more pictures of her in the future and see what a beautiful young lady she will undoubtedly be. 36 37 38 39 40 41 42

Blake and Niki just got married! They are two of our best friends and I was honored to do their wedding last weekend. We did an engagement session in LIttle Rock a little while back and I will blog that as well as the wedding day in a couple weeks. We ran out of time during their engagement session to do their "dressy" outfit and I wanted a different location so they could have plenty of variety in their pictures. These are just a few favorites from their mini/engagement session.

The Baker Family was also new, and they were wonderful :) The two girls were as sweet as they can be and the handsome little man, although not a fan of having his picture taken, still gave me some great shots! In all of my sessions I like to emphasize the children, but I also make sure to take some pictures of mom and dad as in-love as ever <3

The McGrew family was a last-second addition to the weekend and I'm so glad they came! The two boys were precious and had some of the funniest faces! This was my first time to photograph the McGrews but the whole family was very relaxed in front of the camera and I can't wait to see them all again!

Another first for me was the Vincent Family. Reece was so much fun! You could tell she was more than okay with having her picture taken and that makes my job super easy! Her little squeaky shoes made me laugh and she would bounce around the lawn like a ball of sunshine. We also got some pictures of her beautiful mommy and daddy, including some kisses and shoulder-rides :)

The Snellings Family: This was the second time I got to photograph this sweet family but last time there were only 3, and this time a brand new little person joined them! The young cowboy and slobber-monster did great (the youngest is teething pretty hardcore) and I can't wait to see them again and see how they've grown! 134 135 136

Last, but not least, Heather Settles! Heather told me that she wanted to do a Little Red Riding Hood themed shoot with her husky, Murdoch. She wanted the images to really showcase her beloved pup and have kind of a dark feel to the pictures. I was happy to try! It's always nice to do something a little different every once in a while just to keep the creative juices flowing! I also have a few more artistic kind of edits that I like but I don't normally use on family photos (I try to keep those happy and colorful) so this gave me an opportunity to show my more artistic side :) The funny part is that Murdoch is supposed to be the big bad wolf, but he's probably the happiest, most energetic dog I've ever met.
