Cody and Lindsey were my very first bride and groom when I started doing weddings, so it's only fitting that they were my first couple to include me in their hospital birth story. I have had several of my clients ask if I do hospital sessions so at the beginning of the year I designed a baby package to include that special day. I was so excited when Lindsey told me they wanted to document it all! I had just finished their maternity session like a week before I got the call from Lindsey's mom saying, just in case I should know, Lindsey's water broke that morning (2 and 1/2 weeks early) while she was at work and that she'd been admitted to the hospital and to get ready!
Elizabeth made her way into the world at 6:48pm, weighing 6 lbs 6oz, and 20 1/2 inches long. I was overwhelmed (Cody will can tell you) by just how beautiful that moment was, and was so honored to be able to document the day for the Chronisters. Sometimes we forget things as time goes by and memories fade, but pictures keep our memories alive!

After this I left for a while to let the labor progress, so this next picture is actually about 4 hours later!

For those who don't know, the thick white stuff that babies are covered in is called Vernix, and it protects the baby's skin while she is still inside. Basically like a LOT of chapstick :)

Everyone in the waiting room was on their phones looking at the picture Cody sent out.

My AD for Apple ^

This picture made me laugh pretty hard! ^

The mark in between 20 and 21 is where they drew a line for her length. Much easier than trying to put the babies on a measuring board!

She passed her hearing test, so later when she's a teenager we'll have proof that she CAN hear, she just chooses not to.

Lindsey and Cody, thank you again for letting me witness such a special day. I'm so thankful for clients like you who let me continue to be a part of their lives after the wedding so I can see your family grow and watch Ms. Elizabeth as she changes so much over the next year!
