About a year and a half ago I started doing first year baby packages as a way to branch out from weddings and try my hand at something new. I've always loved babies, and after I had two children of my own it just felt natural to hold and snuggle everyone else's babies too! I'm very grateful for my clients who chose me to do their first year portraits based on what my other work looked like. Two of my precious little girls have already outgrown their sessions, and little Ava is my third :(
It's so bittersweet because even though I won't get to hold these kiddos every three months and try to make them smile, I get to watch them grow up and turn into wonderful little people. Thank you, Ashley, for letting me get to know  you and your sweet little girl and for letting me be a small part of her milestones this past year. <3

Here are a few favorites from each session!

Ava was 7 weeks old when I first met her and she wasn't really a fan of the whole picture idea. We snuggled and rocked, and I got her to halfway smile a few times, so we just went with it! 7 weeks is a hard age for pictures, but she did really well and we got some great images even if they are on the more serious side ;)

AVAoneyear-1 AVAoneyear-2 AVAoneyear-3 AVAoneyear-4 AVAoneyear-5 3 months old was a totally different experience. This girl LOVES to smile! As our sessions went on she would smile more and more! 

AVAoneyear-7 AVAoneyear-8 AVAoneyear-9 AVAoneyear-10 AVAoneyear-11 6 months put us in the spring and miss Ava was able to sit up by herself like a champion. She would laugh for me and make the cutest noises!

6mo-5 6mo-18 AVAoneyear-12 AVAoneyear-13 AVAoneyear-14 For her 9 month session (although I think she was closer to 10 months) we did a joint BFF session with her friend Makynzi.
